AnarQy is another Usenet provider out there that offers more than one secure server. AnarQy offers five serves, 2 in the United States and 3 in Europe. One of the server farms in the United States and one of the server farms in Europe does not offer a secure server. Either way, five server farms is better than one or two server farms. Another feature about AnarQy is that they offer 12 to 20 simultaneous connections. They only offer one price plan at a rate of $8.99 a month though. The trial period is 7 days but you have to pay $2.95 and it is non-refundable if you do not like AnarQy for your Usenet services. Either way, you get an unlimited amount of downloads on their primary server at a speed of up to 1, 200kbs. We broke everything down for you so that you can really see what AnarQy is all about.
Retention: They offer a 360 day retention for all binary and text content. This is a little less than a year of retention. If you are planning on downloading information from a while back, this retention rate will probably not work well for you.
Anonymity: They have SSL available on 3 of the 5 servers. One server farm in the United States and 2 server farms in Europe have a secure connection. This is a plus as some of the other providers do not offer this.
Pricing: When you use AnarQy for your Usenet services, you only have one price plan option to choose from. The monthly subscription is $8.99 a month and it includes:
– An unlimited amount of downloads on their primary server at a speed of up to 1, 200kbs
– 2GB a day with an uncapped speed on a secure server
– 12 to 20 connections
– 85, 000 news groups
When you have Gigabytes left over at the end of the day, they are carried over- that is definitely a plus.
Speed:
AnarQy offers an uncapped speed of 1, 200kbs. They have 5 server farms in total which are located in the United States and in Europe with 12 to 20 available simultaneous connections. You should have no issue maxing out your Internets bandwidth with those numbers during the first 2 GB per day which you can download at full speed. After that it might get slower depending on your Internet connection.
Features:
– 99% completion rate
– Inexpensive trial period
– 5 server farms with up to 20 simultaneous connections
– An unlimited amount of downloads with an uncapped speed on a secure server
– E-mail support
Recommendation:
AnarQy has a whopping 5 server farms with up to 20 simultaneous connections. They offer a cheap trial period and an uncapped, secure server. Even though they do not offer live help or phone support, I would recommend AnarQy for a Usenet provider. I do wish that they would refund your payment at the end of the trial period if you were not satisfied. This shows that they really do care about their customers. Other than that, I do not think that AnarQy is the worst Usenet provider out there. They are straight to the point and right to it. Don’t jump the gun though! Don’t forget to check out some of the other providers we have listed on our home page.
