Budget News Usenet Review

Budget News is another Usenet provider out there that we decided to break down and see exactly what they offer to their customers. We discovered that they do not offer SSL, they only have one server but they do offer 100, 000+ newsgroups and up to 10 available simutanious connections. It is quite important to have a Usenet provider that offers your favorite news groups and having 100, 000+ news groups available is a great feature. Their retention seemed a little lower than the competition but they do offer uncensored and un-logged connections. We broke it down for you so you can really see exactly what they offer.

Retention: Budget News currently offers a 40 day text and a 40 day binary retention. This is considerable lower than some of the other Usenet providers that we have featured on our home page.

Anonymity: They do not offer any form of SSL but they do offer an un-logged server that is free from monitoring. If you do not need SSL, you are good to go with Budget News. If you do require a secure server, try checking out some of the other providers that we have featured on our home page.

Pricing: Budget News only offers unlimited plans. This is great for someone who is looking for an unlimited account. Unlimited accounts are great because they do not have capped speeds, limited connections or limited available Gigabytes. They only offer two plan types and they are:

– 1 month for €5

– 1 year for €25

As you can see, their unlimited plans are very inexpensive and affordable for anyone. If you are like me, you do not like to be limited. With this Usenet provider, you wont be. They offer unlimited plans at an affordable price and the plans offer an unlimited amount of Gigabytes and connections.

Speed: They offer an un-capped server speed for all plan types. They offer 10 available simultaneous connections but they only offer one server. They do not offer SSL either so this could slow down your connection if you internet service provider limits Usenet users during peak hours.

Features: Some of the other features that they offer is a 99% completion rate, 100, 000+ available news groups, and e-mail support. Having live support is a plus but of course, any support is a good thing to have.

Recommendation:

Although having a Usenet provider that offers live support and not just e-mail support is a plus, this Usenet provider offers 100, 000+ available news groups which is good. You want to have a Usenet provider that carries your favorite news groups and one that will carry your new favorite news groups. Having many news groups is important. They offer some cheap unlimited plans as well. I would recommend this Usenet provider to those of you who are looking for inexpensive unlimited plans and you do not need a secure server or live support.
